What our customers say

  • I Heard a Loud Bang and Now My Garage Door Won't Open. What Happened?

That's usually a broken spring. The springs do the lifting, not the opener, so once one snaps the door is too heavy to rise. Don't keep pressing the opener or force the door. Call us and a real person will tell you what happens next.

  • Can I Replace a Garage Door Spring Myself?

Please don't. Springs and cables hold enormous tension, and people get badly hurt trying. It's a job for a technician with the right tools.

  • Should Both Springs Be Replaced if Only One Broke?

Usually, yes. On a door with two springs, a new spring next to an old one puts extra strain on the old one, so both are normally replaced together.

  • Why Does My Garage Door Go Back Up by Itself?

Most often it's the safety sensors near the floor: something is blocking them, the lenses are dirty, or they've been knocked out of line. Reversing is a safety feature openers made since 1993 must have by law. If the door still won't close, give us a call.

  • A Cable Came Off. Can I Still Use the Door?

No. A frayed, slack or loose cable means the door should stay closed until it's repaired. Call us and we'll take it from there.

  • Does a New Garage Door in South Florida Need to Be Hurricane-Rated?

A new door has to meet the wind rules where you live. Miami-Dade and Broward are in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, where doors need an approved wind rating, such as a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance, and in Palm Beach County a door that isn't impact-rated needs impact protection. We'll tell you what your city requires.

  • How Fast Can a Technician Get to Me?

Within an hour of your call, anywhere we serve in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County.

  • Can I Call After Hours?

Yes. A real person picks up, nights and Saturdays included, and a technician can come out after hours too. We'll tell you straight what happens next.
